StarCraft 2 Fan Site Q&A Volume 3 Now Live
May 6th, 2009

Wednesday is becoming a really fun day for StarCraft 2 fans. Every Wednesday the latest volume of fan site Q&As are released by our favourite lead game designer -Mr. Dustin Browder.
This week’s volume came from SC2pod.com and, to be frank, I don’t find most of the answers to be particularly interesting. However, the very last question interests me greatly:
11. What have been some of the hardest choices you have had to make during the development of StarCraft II?
[Dustin Browder] There have been many tough choices in designing StarCraft II – Amongst the most difficult would be what parts of the original StarCraft should be in StarCraft II. Next would be what new mechanics are worthy of introduction to the StarCraft universe. Balancing visual appeal with the serious game play that StarCraft has always offered has always been challenging as well. Overall, we hope that the choices we have made will give our players the best possible StarCraft II experience.
Creating a sequel to the most popular eSport game of all time is one hell of a challenge, and Browder has done a really good job so far from what we have seen. The pending beta will answer a lot of questions on whether or not they have succeeded.
