Starcraft 2 Release Date Postponed
August 7th, 2009

Hell it’s STILL about time
It happened as many online gamers predicted – Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty has been delayed until early 2010 next year. We knew the beta would take months, and that the game wouldn’t be released at all before Blizzard was 100% sure it was ready. Now the hard truth comes to light – it’s old faithful Battle.net that is causing the delay.
Bobby Kotick, CEO of gaming giant Activision has confirmed that Starcraft 2 will be out early next year, but until then fans are just going to have to bite the bullet and prepare for another half a year or so of waiting.
Waiting…waiting…waiting…waiting…
This is a blow to the gaming community who have been calling for the release date since early 2008. The fact that we still don’t have a concrete date is disappointing; if we had one at least then we could look forward to something. Not knowing if we’ll even see the game next year again is maddening!
Considering the fact that the Starcraft 2 beta tests will run for at least 6 months and that Battle.net requires apparent tweaks and fixes in order to effectively run the new game on their servers – we are looking, optimistically, at a release date of April if everything goes to plan. If things go well it could be sooner but not by much.

Why put out the trailors for the game for people to download, if the game will come out in April of 2010?
I think, it is a bad idea if the game postpones for another year.

I can’t take this anymore!
I’ve been waiting so hard and patiently all this years only to be played by a fool by Blizzard.
I’m from Sweden and our waiting skills are legendary around in the world.
We Swedes are waiting in queues, waiting for summer, waiting for food, waiting for happiness, waiting for everything.
But this?
This shit?
No no no no NO!
Why are Blizzard doing this, I don’t get it, Is this some kind of mocking on an astronomical level?
It’s obvious that Blizzard would go the extra mile, or put a bit of extra effort if they really cared about their SC fans.
I’m not a baby my friends, I played SC in the early 90’ so hard I was a wiz in this shit.
And this teaser? It’s like hitting a starving dog on the nose with a couple of wiener’s when he’s tied up with a rope around the jaws, the dog can’t take it forever, and neither can I!
It’s time to put pressure my fellow SC marine brothers, it’s time to free the pixels of Terrans, Zergs and Protos from the Blizzard development jail.
Boycott Blizzard and the things that uphold SC2, boycott WoW and their unholy expansion packs, boycott Diablo III….. well not really D3, cause that is something else I been waiting my ass off.
But the rest off it.

Yep, I’ve had enough too. We really should start some big list or something about boycotting them. SC2 should have been out over 5 years ago, and even by blizzard’s announcement even last year.
I’m starting to look for another game. Maybe I’ll get hooked on it and just never play a blizzard game again.

They sell a copy Starcraft 2 at what $100 and that’s it the reality of it is they still got a buncha hopeless virgins still playing WOW and making $30 a month of them so why the fuck would they really care about release dates or the game itself

I am giving blizzard one more month to release beta. If they don’t you’ll probably see me on tv going ape shit at blizzard headquarters.

It’s not unexpected. They never released an official date anyways. I admire blizzard, they won’t release the game until it’s perfect. And it is understandable. Games that are released half-finished often flunked because interests is highest when the game comes out. If you fail to make a good impression upon release then the game will never be as succesful.
Waiting sucks, but if blizzard has taught us one thing with all its previous games is that they are worth the wait.

Blizzard waiting to release something that is perfect. Not going to happen. I been playing wow for sometime now. And not once has a patch or expansion been perfect. Full of glitches and temper. I quit playing wow for that same reason. I want to see my 15 a month. Instead of being denied to enter a instance. Or constantly changing my character’s abilities. All i hear from Blizz is excuses.

That might be the case in WoW, but I can tell you from experience that Warcraft 3 was very well done for a game in it’s era… I mean it’s still being played today many years later…
So let Blizzard take there time and finish, of course I want to play Starcraft 2 now, but its not going to happen and nothing we do or say is going to make it go faster.
So just chill, sit back and learn to wait… Yes it’s been along time but just keep waiting, their is nothing else you can do.
I want this game to be perfect and a rushed game is never perfect (see CnC3, Red Alert 3 etc…) They are games you only play for 2 months then you forget about it, because it does no keep attention. Blizzard is very good at keeping there players, so let them take there time. I mean one or two people Boycotting them will not affect them at all they have many loyal fans who will play this game.

The two reasons that I hear about the delay of the release are:
1. Because Blizzard says they are committed to making a game that is balanced and they’re working out “balance issues”.
Ok, but we all know that the game isn’t going to be perfectly balanced and you’re just going to patch it about 12 times in two years… so why don’t we just patch the damn thing?
2. Because they’re trying to create a new Battle.net…
Hmm…How many years have you had to do that?

Can you say “Axel Rose Syndrome.” The release of Starcraft II is turning into a bigger joke than Axel’s Chinese Democracy release!

WHATEVER that ******* battle.net I(i think WE) do not care! Please make Singleplayer first, then complete that ******* Bnet!!!
