Tychus Findlay was a bad egg. Before joining the marines he was nothing more than a common criminal. Theft, piracy, larceny, murder and drug violations – these were the charges brought against him, but they couldn’t hold him, add jailbreak to the list.

As a marine he fought for the Terran Confederacy against the Kel Morian Combine when their mines were so sought after during the Guild Wars. The 321st Colonial Rangers Battalion didn’t change him much. He still got into trouble and met his good friend Jim Raynor while they both served time in the brig for insubordination. Then soon after that they disappeared.

Tychus was captured by the enemy Kel Morian forces nine moths later. He was returned when the hostilities ceased as part of the prisoner exchange program. Arrested for desertion he was forced to serve in the Dominion Marine Corps, his life sentence, where he remains to this day.
